With Burns night just past I fancied sculpting something a bit different. This is my WIP of a haggis which will be the mount for some tartan clad clansmen

My first ever delve into pushing putty was 15 years ago with a chaos dwarf sorcerer. It was awful.

My interest in this army has been re-kindled with reading the rules for Mantic games Abyssal dwarfs and I thought I would have another stab at this figure.
Here is the chaos dwarf sorcerer. 20mm to the eye which I think is in line with mantics scale.

This sculpt is my proxy to replace teddy in my malifauxs Liliths crew.

quite pleased with the outcome and have cast up in lead, will post some painted versions later on

sorry about the poor photo. A 28mm clown with a brace of derringers.

A sand worm that I created for a Deadlands reloaded game I ran. The dude is a foundary model

An attempt at creating The Fair American Brigantine 90mm long. This is a WIP which I will hopefully return to at some point. Whilst making this I used model boat plans to try and get the scale and proportions correct, here's some stage by stage pics.

A while back I sculpted a few hobgoblin fantasy football figures. These are available over on impact miniatures http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.php?option=brdwarf

I've started this blog to add some continuity to the closure of my website madfindesigns. I originally set up the website after sculpting a series of rugby miniature figures to accompany the board game crash tackle. These were originally sculpted 8 years ago in response to demand for an alternative playing pieces to the cardboard counters that come with the game. The initial demand for these figures was fantastic and greater than I expected and I wish to thank everyone who purchased these figures and their kind support over the years. Unfortunately the original moulds and models began to look tired and with limited time available whilst working in a demanding job I decided to pull the site until such a time as I can re-sculpt the figures.

Over the 8 years my sculpting skills have greatly improved and I will be posting WIP's of new sculpts as and when I have the spare time to work on these. I will also post up pictures to show case any sculpts on the work bench.
